Round the Clock Annual Day of Prayer!!

May 13th will host a 24 hour period of bathing Urban Family Ministries in prayer.  Would you consider praying for us during this special day?

The office will be open from 8am - 7pm if you would like to come to the office to spend your time of prayer.  If this is not convienent, please feel free to pray at your house, at your desk, in your car or anywhere else you are able to spend those 15 minutes of alone time.

We would love to know all 24 hours are covered so if you would like to join us, please call Peggy at (616)365-9009 or email her at pboverhof@urbanfamilyministries.org so we can put your name on a block of 15 minutes.

Below are some specific requests we ask you lift in prayer as you spend your 15 minutes.

  • Summer Camps: Sponsorship money, kid's participation, kids hearing the gospel and for their salvation, for their spiritual growth, travel safety
  • Super Saturday & Wild Wednesday: Leadership, kid's participation, that the gospel will continue to be clearly presented, kid's salvation and spiritual growth, an increase in volunteer participation
  • Opportunities to connect with the parents of our kids
  • Summer Programs: That programs will have a spiritual focus, kids will continue to participate, salvation/spiritual growth of the kids, that we can build relationships with more kids and continue to develop the ones we do have, that we will find more volunteers to assist us
  • Opportunities to minister to the leadership and workers in the Building Bridges program
  • Our involvement with KidsGames and how we can connect with more neighborhood kids
  • God has been good to supply the funds needed for special programs.  Pray that God will continue to provide the finances needed for day-to-day operations as well
  • An overall need for additional volunteers to assist in varied programs
  • That regular volunteers will not grow weary, but be encouraged
  • UFM staff, for wisdom and energy to find new ways to serve the neighborhood
  • For God to encourage the UFM staff in unexpected ways
  • For God to restrain satan as he tries to hinder the work of the ministry
  • Healing for volunteers who are facing health issues (Betty - colon cancer, Sue - brain cancer)

We know we serve a great and mighty God; a God who answers the cries of His children.  Thank you for taking time to pray for us.
