One-on-One Mentoring

A natural result of the Public School Outreach is the relationship building that occurs between UFM volunteers and the students they serve. Urban Family Ministries’ mentoring program is designed to enhance these relationships. Our volunteer mentors work with one or two students (and often their families) by simply “hanging out” regularly, loving them in all sorts of ways. Sometimes it’s just going out for ice-cream, while other times it’s talks about life, relationships, doing the right thing, Jesus or anything else. Many of the children have said that their time with their UFM Mentor is the highlight of their week.
