Just as Jesus came to dwell among us, Urban Family Ministries volunteers move into an urban neighborhood seeking to develop and build relationships, and to share Jesus with the kids and their families. Whether it’s through being "all-time quarterback" in a pick up football game, coaching the local school basketball team or inviting neighborhood kids to the house "just to talk", God uses our “plant” volunteers to change the neighborhood. Our third neighborhood plant, one of UFM's staff, has purchased a house on a tough urban street. She is excited to show the love of Jesus in that neighborhood. Her home has become a Discipleship House, as she is house mother to 4 urban teen girls.
