Below is a list of opportunities. If you click on each of them, there is a quick description for each one. Kidz Nite
Kidz Nite is a gathering of kids from 3 years old through 6th grade. They gather on Thursday evenings from 6pm – 8pm at the UFM office. The students and volunteers eat a meal together, have a lesson, play games, and spend time in small group discussing the topic. The more volunteers, the smaller the groups, which is very beneficial.
Teen Nite
Teen Nite is a gathering of students from 7th grade through 12th grade. They gather on Tuesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm at the UFM office. The students and volunteers eat a meal together, have a lesson, play games, and spend time in small groups discussing the topic. The more volunteers, the smaller the groups which is very beneficial.
Transportation Help
Some of our activities and programs require transportation. Are you brave enough to drive a 15 passenger van? We will train you! We need backup drivers for when our regular drivers are ill.
Sponsor a Meal
Tuesday and Thursday evening programs serve a meal for those in attendance. Building a relationship while breaking bread together is a great, non-threatening way to build it. You can cook something and deliver it, you can order something and have it delivered or send a gift card or donation for a meal to be ordered. We would love for you to join us for the meal if you supply one.
Group Projects
We know that small groups, youth groups, sometimes a business, like to serve together. We have opportunities for you to do just that. We have things at our office or with a family we partner with to meet your goal. Help deep clean the office building, clean and sanitize all the tables and chairs, mow a family’s grass, help with simple repair projects around the house, walk the neighborhood and pick up random trash that gets left behind, host a hotdog roast, or come up with an idea we can help you make happen.
Landscaping at the office
We have a gorgeous courtyard at our building. There are several different types of flowers, underground sprinkling and of course, lots of weeds if not taken care of. If you enjoy working in the dirt, would you be interested in taking on our flower beds for the summer?
