Super Saturday & Wild Wednesday

What started out as a regular habit of bringing a few kids to church on Saturday night, has turned into one of the liveliest “churches” in West Michigan: Super Saturday.  Using 15-passenger vans, Urban Family Ministries buses pre-school, elementary and teenage children to a local school gymnasium most Saturdays during the school year for worship, Bible teaching, songs, games and a tasty snack.  The children learn scripture through a weekly memorization program, they participate in the worship service, and learn what it means to serve each other.

We hold Super Saturday from 2:30pm-4:00pm, which gives our volunteers their Saturday evenings free and gives the kids a fun and engaging activity to look forward to in the afternoons.  We prepare a healthy snack bag for each child to take home.

COVID adjustments: Due to the COVID pandemic, we are not meeting face to face.  Instead, we are hosting Zoom meetings on Wednesday evenings in which your child will have a packet delivered every three weeks with materials, crafts and activities to do for each lesson to follow.  You will receive a link to sign into ZOOM and after the lesson time, your child(ren) will be split into small groups (still via ZOOM) for further discussion.  If you are interested in having your children join our Wednesday evening Family Groups, please email Maddie at MBerce@urbanfamilyministries.org or call at 616-365-9009.
